Street Magic is a gorgeous colour shifting polish that is meant to be layered over a dark colour. It will transform from a deep bronze to a brilliant green right before your eyes.
No slight of hand here, this is the real deal.
This particular pigment is no longer manufactured, and is VERY scarce, and hard to find supplies of. In 2011 I bought a sizable amount of this magical pigment, and when my stock got low I pulled it from the store. I have some of my original pigment left, but this is the last of this pigment I have, and once it's gone I have no guarantees that I will be able to source (or afford!) more.
Layer Street Magic over dark colours for the most dramatic effect, but it also looks amazing over orange, green, and red, and nude creme bases. The possibilities are endless!!
Please note, that Street Magic is UP in a slightly tinted base, but the base colour does not alter the look of the polish when layered over other polishes. The tinted base is purely for the aesthetics in the bottle and does not translate to the nail. Over the years the base colour has varied somewhat in depth, but the end result on the nail, are identical from bottle to bottle. The dry UP pigment (the most important part of this polish) has always been measured by weight and has not changed from batch to batch or bottle to bottle. The colourants used to tint the base has evolved from my original formula in the early days of Girly Bits, when I mixed each bottle individually, and literally read '2 drops of this, and 4 dollops of that' to a more precise formula that is now also measured by weight. Liquids are very difficult to measure accurately in small batches, but dry pigments are easy, so as my batches got larger, I was able to measure the liquids by weight as well. While there are a variety of base tints out there, the amount of unicorn pigment in each bottle is identical.
Street Magic is from the Sea’s the Day Collection.
